お話します About us
あいさつ Greeting
町田こばと幼稚園は、1966年に創立され半世紀以上地域の幼児教育に貢献してきました。創立者である現園長は園児ひとりひとりを自分の子どものように慈しみ、時代に応じて必要な力を考えながら日々の活動を行っています。これからも幼稚園は、ご家庭の皆様とともに子ども達の自ら伸びていく力を見守り、応援し、誇りをもって生きてほしいという願いをこめて研鑽を積んで参ります。
Since it was founded in 1966, Machida Kobato Kindergarten has been providing early childhood education and care for the region. The current principal; a founder of the school, is been conducting everyday, making efforts to meet the needs/skills to respond to the times, with affection to each one of the children. We would like to keep improving ourselves, to be able to continue to support the children with their potential for growth with the families, and to encourage for them to live proudly.

園の基本方針 Mission
子ども達は、興味のあることがらに自発的にかかわり、没頭しながら様々なちからを伸ばしていきます。
手先の感覚、目の筋肉など、からだのあらゆる筋肉の発達と同時に、自分以外のもの・人を含めた秩序ある「せかい」とのかかわり方を身につけ、やがて自立への道すじをつくります。幼稚園に通う年齢は、まさに子ども達が大きく成長する大切な時期です。
町田こばと幼稚園は、激しく変化する世界のなかで、より充実した、幸せな人生を歩むために生涯にわたって必要な資質・能力を育みます。
Children develop various skills and abilities by relating and devoting spontaneously to the things they are interested in. Using their sense of fingertips, muscles of their eyes and the entire muscles of their bodies, they cultivate how to relate to themselves and the outer world that possesses order including things and people, which will lead to the path to independence. The kindergarten ages are the important for them to grow and develop dramatically.
Machida Kobato Kindergarten as the community of learners, we keep learning to acquire knowledge and abilities for more fruitful and happier life.

Ground of Lights
太陽の動きによって移りゆく光と影をカラフルな丸窓によってファンタジックに表現した園庭です。自然のしくみへの気づきと子ども達への「なぜ？」を触発します。

そらの広場
Sora no Hiroba
テニスコート約４面分のネットの上を走ったりはねたりねそべったり。さえぎるもののない大きな空と一体となることが運動面だけでなく情操面をも育みます。
An open and spacious place with huge hammock as big as 4 tennis courts appeared right above the school garden. No boundaries, feeling connected to the endless sky. Playing in such environment is great not only for physical development but also for cultivating aesthetic sentiments.

バスケットコートも備えた広い空間は、子ども達の活発な運動の場であると同時に、音響、照明設備が整い、発表会など子ども達の表現を支えます。
Our hall has basketball hoops equipped as well, making it possible to move and play even on the rainy day. We also use the hall for various events such as ceremonies and exhibitions.

室内温水プールで年間として水に親しみます。基礎体力、運動能力、免疫力の向上のみならず、水に触れる楽しさがもたらす情操的な安定も期待されます。
Indoor heated swimming pool for all seasons. Help development of children’s basic physical strength, athletic abilities and increases the ability of the immune system, as well as stabilising emotions can be expected by having a great time in the water.

新幹線こばと号
Shinkansen “Kobato”
ガーデンクラス開催時には、園内を電動新幹線が走ります。並んで乗車する、順番を待つなど、幼い子どもにとっては大切な社会的経験です。
Mini shinkansen operates on the railway track which runs through the school garden at the Garden class (pre-K open playground). It also brings some important social experience for the little children such as queuing on the waiting line to ride.
